We wanted to open a shop in the Pasadena area that musicians of all levels can consider a destination. A place where you can get comfortable with an instrument and spend the time it takes to find out if that instrument is right for you. Where musicians can meet and learn from each other and the focus is on the experience of being in a great shop and finding great instruments, not on the bottom line.
We wanted a shop where instruments are so beautiful that they function as art as well as produce great music. To create a place where you can dime a half stack without driving everyone else out of the building. To that end we created "Thunderdome", a room where you can take any amp or guitar in the shop to see what's under the hood.
We’ve been dealing with musical gear for many decades and like you we’ve been to enough guitar shops where they don’t care what you leave with as long as it’s not your money.
